Suné Maré is a Lecturer in the Department of Finance, Risk Management and Banking at the University of South Africa (Unisa), where she has been working since 2010. She is currently busy with her PhD which focuses on the community of inquiry, shared metacognition and student engagement. She obtained her Master’s degree with distinction at Unisa. Her research interests lie in online teaching and learning and risk management. She has co-published ODeL articles in accredited journals and presented several papers at international conferences. She is also involved in the development of modules for online teaching. In 2016, she received Unisa’s Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award for student support.
